The Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT) is pleased to announce a special event - "Social Work and ABCT: A Partnership Comes of Age." This day-long event is aimed at increasing awareness of the involvement of social workers in ABCT. Social workers deliver the majority of psychosocial services in the area of mental health in the United States and many of these practitioners utilize cognitive and behavioral interventions. ABCT is the largest and most influential organization in the country devoted to the development, advancement, and dissemination of cognitive and behavioral therapies. This event aims to welcome social workers to the organization and its outstanding conference by inviting social workers to a morning event organized by social work members of ABCT. The event features leading speakers from the field of social work who will present their latest research involving cognitive and behavioral therapies. The session promises to be of great interest to social work clinicians, educators and students. Upon completion of the morning event, participants will enjoy a full range of conference sessions for the rest of the day.

This special one-day event is offered to social workers at the substantially reduced fee of $50 for practicing social workers and $25 for social work students. Social workers attending the Friday event will also be offered a reduced fee if they wish to attend the final two days of the conference (November 21-22). We invite you to join in this exciting event that will build the foundation for a growing partnership between social work and ABCT.
